Refund & Dispute Policy
When stakes are refunded
- The match ends in a draw.
- Either player fails to move within the first two plies (abort).
- A disconnect goes unresolved past the reconnect grace period is a forfeit, not a refund — see below.
- The game server cannot establish a defensible result (crash or state loss).
When stakes are not refunded
A completed match — checkmate, resignation, timeout, stalemate, insufficient material, threefold repetition, fifty-move rule — pays out normally. A disconnect that exceeds the reconnect grace period is a forfeit to the opponent, not a refund.
Disputes
Every match is recorded move-by-move with server timestamps and is available for admin review. Disputes can be raised at support@example.com; an admin may force-resolve a match based on the recorded evidence.
Withdrawal fee
Approved withdrawals incur a 20% fee. This fee is not refundable once a withdrawal is paid.
